How to add autumn home decor ideas this year?

We say goodbye to summer and happily welcome the coziest season of the year - autumn is already starting. How to decorate your interior for autumn? What accessories are worth choosing and investing in to make the time spent with your family more pleasant during long autumn evenings? How to decorate your favorite chest of drawers, fireplace or table in autumn? How to decorate the entrance to your house? How to use the gifts of autumn? You can find autumn decorations in a nutshell in our guide.
Autumn is a wealth of textures and colors. Traditionally, autumn colors are associated with warm shades of yellow, orange and red, reminiscent of autumn leaves. Autumn also means intensely blue skies, creating a beautiful contrast with the warm shades of autumn leaves. A beautiful complement is the heather color - deep and delicate notes of purple. Everything slowly changes to more and more muted shades. Such traditional autumn colors will perfectly decorate our interiors, giving them the warmth and coziness that we long for during the longer and longer autumn evenings.
As we can see, autumn colors include a very wide spectrum of colors from which we can choose inspiration to create unique decorations. Strong, intense colors will perfectly enliven the neutral color base in the interior (they will contrast wonderfully with e.g. white interiors, shades of gray and beige). Subdued colors will work well in interiors with more intense colors, but will also remain in perfect harmony with colors from a neutral palette.

How to decorate the entrance to your house for autumn?
We can decorate the entrance to our house or apartment beautifully. If you want to feel the autumn atmosphere right from the doorstep, decorate the entrance to your home with autumn gifts - colorful, ripe pumpkins and heather placed in wicker pots look beautiful. You can add candles in lanterns to the decoration, they will give a unique atmosphere right from the threshold.
It is also a good idea to decorate the interior of your home with an elegant wreath hung on the door. This idea will also work in an apartment - place the wreath on the front door or even on the window, place it on a chest of drawers or a fireplace. What to make such a wreath from? There are plenty of ideas - autumn wreaths can be created from nature's gifts - place autumn leaves, berries, chestnuts or acorns on a wicker wreath, tie it with a ribbon. You can also create minimalist, monochromatic versions - cover the foam wreath with chestnuts, acorns or pine cones.
Such a wreath will look beautiful if you paint it with silver, gold or copper paint. Tie the wreath with a colorful ribbon in autumn colors. Use autumn leaves (they can be artificial) and cover the foam wreath with them.

How to decorate your living room for fall?
You can create a unique autumn atmosphere in your living room using a few simple methods. First - add color. Replace the pillowcases with orange ones, place a soft throw in a soothing color on the armchair or sofa, add curtains in a matching shade. You can also hang the so-called cotton balls on the curtain rod. Secondly - add a bit of nature.
Autumn brings a wealth of harvests. Nature gives us colorful pumpkins, ripe apples, and tempting seeds. They can be easily added to autumn decorations - place a mixture of autumn gifts on a plate. You can paint the pumpkin white or cover it with metallic varnish. Add a few branches with berries, chestnuts, acorns... a beautiful decoration for a chest of drawers or a windowsill is ready!
Scented votive candles will also work great as decoration - beautiful colors, autumn scent and easy replacement are their main advantages.
A very simple and effective idea to introduce autumn to your living room is to use dried branches with leaves and berries. Put such colorful twigs in a vase and decorate the vase with raffia or ribbon. Intensely orange physalis physalis and annual mesothelia (so-called Judas' silver berries) with beautiful, silvery fruits will also work great as such decorations.
Various colored grains and legumes are a simple way to create an elegant autumn decoration. Take a glass jar (e.g. cucumber jar) and place the selected candle inside (a scented candle will also work wonderfully). Pour various grains into the jar, corn grains, peas, and colorful lentils will work very well. You can tie the jar with raffia or ribbon. Light a candle and enjoy a beautiful and inexpensive autumn decoration of your table, windowsill or chest of drawers.
If we have children, let's go with them to look for autumn gifts - chestnuts, acorns or colorful leaves that the children collect will be used to create a beautiful arrangement in our apartments.
Don't forget about the beautiful autumn scent!
