Which candles should you choose for your wedding?

A wedding is a unique event that requires a unique setting. To make everything go smoothly, it is worth taking care of the details before the wedding, which may even determine the appearance of your photos. Of course, it's about the right lighting setting for the wedding. Of course, candles are an integral part of wedding decorations. Without them, it is impossible to create such a wonderful, cozy and festive atmosphere. The magic of the wedding will be emphasized by carefully selected candles. You can learn how to choose candles for a wedding in our guide. In our store you will also find original wedding gifts.
Wedding candles - scented or unscented?
For the wedding ceremony itself, we recommend using unscented candles in a traditional form. Why? A wedding lasts about an hour to two hours and when using scented candles, there is a problem with fully lighting the candle, which may result in it tunneling. Unscented candles in the form of traditional tealight or maxilight candles are perfect for weddings. The burning time of standard tealight is - depending on the manufacturer - from 3 to 5 hours. The burning time of maxi tealights is - depending on the manufacturer - from 8 to 12 hours. This length of smoking is enough for a wedding.
A very convenient solution will also be the use of smaller block candles, for example those up to 8 - 10 cm high. Votive candles, available in various colors, will also work great. Regardless of what candles we choose to decorate a church or wedding hall, let's take care of safety. Place the candles in glass candlesticks or lanterns. In the case of an outdoor or rustic wedding, taller candlesticks or even glass mason jars will work very well, as they will protect the candles from the wind. After all, we don't want them to go out during the celebration. Good protection of candles is especially important if we place them along the carpet in the church.

Candles for the wedding hall - which ones to choose?
Here we can choose from both scented and unscented candles. If we choose scented candles, they are often already in glass jars, so we don't have to worry about additional candle holders. In the case of unscented candles, especially those in block form such as poles and balls, remember about glass candlesticks, lanterns or covers. They are necessary not only in the case of an outdoor wedding reception - there are also many air currents in the room where the wedding takes place, which could blow out the candle.
How to ensure the best use of candles during your wedding?
- place candles in glass candlesticks or lanterns.
- Place candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Before lighting the candles, cut the wick in each candle to a length of approximately 5 mm using special wick scissors.
- It is more convenient to light candles with lighters than with matches (especially outdoors).
- don't forget to extinguish the candles after the ceremony.
