In this post, we suggest when and how to use tea tree oil with benefit - and without fear.
Why tea tree oil is so popular?
This is a natural essential oil extracted from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree. Its fragrance is fresh, slightly herbal, with a distinct "green" background. It is often used:

When to watch out?
Like any concentrated essential oil, tea tree oil also requires judicious use. Here are some situations in which caution should be exercised:
- Do not apply it undiluted on the skin - may cause irritation.
- Do not use internally. Essential oil is not a dietary supplement.
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and mucous membranes.
- In children and pregnant women it's a good idea to consult your doctor before use.
- Always perform a sensitization test - For example, on the bend of the elbow.
